How to Remove Oil on Your Pool Surface
Sweat, sunscreen, cosmetics and sebum, the skin’s natural oils, can turn your pool into an oil slick. The more people who use your pool, the more likely that an oil film will build-up on the water’s surface.
Removing the excess oil is a breeze with this easy DIY pool hack.
Simply throw three to five tennis balls in your pool and let them work their magic. The felt of the tennis ball will absorb a fair amount of the oils found on the surface of your pool’s water leaving your pool’s surface clear. If you can’t imagine looking at tennis balls floating around your pool, you can also toss the tennis balls into your skimmer for the same effect.
